Jodie's first blog post

Current mood: Excited and hungry
Listening to: Prince (my cat) snoring

It's 7 p.m. and I'm telling myself it's time to log off for the day, but I keep wanting to do more things! Tweak a content block design, adjust Facebook ad spend for a client, change the entire typography of this website...

We plan on treating this blog exactly like a LiveJournal. I can tell you right now, one of my posts will contain a glitter graphic. If I could see any millennial internet trend return, it would be glittery GIFs all over every website. (I'm kidding, sort of)

I'm no n00b to blogging. I know what people really want to know. Unfortunately my love life is good, I've got no friend drama, and I don't hate my parents. Teenage me would either be really happy or incredibly bored with present me.

6:15 a.m. - Woke up and said hell no
7:15 a.m. - Got out of bed
8:00 a.m. - Went to the gym
9:00 a.m. - Weekly coffee date with a friend - PSA Spot Coffee's Iced Pear Latte is yummy!
11:00 a.m. - Logged on for the work day.

I spend most of my work days creating Shopify templates, strategizing email marketing plans, monitoring paid social ads and trying my best to help small business owners stay profitable in an economy that's built to destroy us. I'll save the complexities of my anti-capitalist morals and e-commerce skills for another post. BUT I am extremely excited about Cool Story Buffalo! Selfishly because it's an internet platform built by Dani and I which means we can do whatever the hell we want. And ambitiously, I'm so ready to try my best to help makers/artisans/creatives/cool ass people find success in their passions.

So yeah, let's do this.

First though I'm going to go make myself homemade bagel bites for dinner (girl dinner but it's gourmet) and watch the last episode of Wednesday season 2. Ttyl <3
